Resolutions are for pussies.

I, like many others who dabble in media, have never been happy with my skills of an artist. I don't set aside a lot of time outside work to draw to begin with. Hell, I'm really not sure how long or often I'll stick with this blogging thing. What little hours I have awake often get sucked into shiny and exponentially increasing numbers in a world crafted by war.

So, I told myself I'd at least try to draw a minimum of five minutes each day and work towards completing something before moving on. This has turned what should have been short, half-assed projects into soul-crushing months-long ordeals, but at least it's getting me motivated to churn something more polished out.

One of the works in progress. It has a few layers of painting, which are not shown since they aren't totally to my liking yet and I don't know what colors to use for the clothes. Note the boogery lines that I refuse to vector.

An older bit, something of a study of facial expressions and tones. It didn't really work out, but every time I see that scathing face I can't help but like it.

Why elves? Well christ, have you ever seen me draw regular ears? Pointy is easier to draw, a cheaty way to express emotion, and let's face it. Humans are boring.

Hooray for templates.

Space elves... the stupidest frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Those Beyond Time. Her ongoing mission: to explore strange plot devices, to seek out terrible jokes and bad worldcrafting, to boldly go where pretty much everyone has gone before.

Something something hello world. That's about it for now.
